Our Pastor
Pastor Chris Huff was saved at the age of 13 years old during a revival meeting while Evangelist Jack Garner was preaching. After graduating high school, Pastor Huff and his dear wife Sister Teri were married in the same church that he was saved in. They have two wonderful children, a daughter Sabrina, who is working on her masters degree in history, and a son Cameron, who serves as our youth director with a heart for children, and a burden for the youth of America. Pastor Huff served his country in the United States Marine Corps, loves America and has a true patriots heart. After his time in the Marines, he answered a call to preach while still in his 20’s. His first full-time ministry was with the Rock of Ages Prison Ministry, where he served over five years holding revivals in state and federal prisons across America. In 1992, the Lord led him to start a church in the Memphis area of west Tennessee. The Lord blessed with many souls being saved, the start of both a nursing home ministry and a prison ministry out of the church, and seeing seven men called to preach under his ministry there. After laboring there for more than ten years, the Lord moved him back to Virginia to be the pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Having been both a missionary and a pastor, he has a unique understanding of what it takes to be a true New Testament church in these days of shifting sand. Our pastor believes there is no greater joy than to be a Christian, a citizen of the United States of America, and a family man. He believes all of these are best attained when you practice a balanced approach to the Christian life putting God first. He loves people and would love to be your pastor.
